YOUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED

Do you travel for weddings?

I am based in Rustenburg, and I photograph weddings around the country & internationally. All of my wedding packages include a 100km round trip, thereafter an additional charge of R4.50/km and toll fees apply. For destination weddings, flights, accommodation, meals, and car hire apply.

Will our date be tentatively held?

Unfortunately, I cannot hold dates on a temporary basis for any client, considering that I will be reserving a date for your special day & declining other potential paying clients.

In order to secure me as your wedding photographer, your booking form, signed contract, and a non-refundable deposit of 50% is required.

Do we need to meet you before the wedding?

Yes! The pre-wedding consultation allows us to connect and discuss the vision you have for your wedding day. If you are not in Rustenburg, we can set up a Skype appointment.

+ I schedule appointments for Tue-Fri between 9:00-15:30, and until 17:00 on Tuesdays.

Will you present us with an example of a finished wedding album?

On my blog, as well as my portfolio, you can see some of my recent wedding shoots. Additionally, during our consultation, I will happily present an example of a full wedding in a completed album.

Do you photograph engagement sessions?

Yes, I prefer doing an engagement shoot before your wedding. This gives you an introduction and feel of how I work, so the two of you are totally comfortable on your big day.

We will discuss your vision for the setting of the shoot beforehand, and decide on the location & wardrobe. Engagement shoots are scheduled during the week from Tuesdays to Thursdays in the late afternoon, as my weekends are reserved for weddings. You will receive 25 high resolution digital images on CD.

Will you have an assistant on our wedding day?

With reference to my wedding packages – a second shooter is only included in the Gardenia, and Calla Lilly collections. The second shooter will assist me in carrying equipment, changing lenses, and creating stunning lighting scenes using my reflector.

If you require a second shooter as an addition to any of my other packages, kindly make your request during our consultation session. Please note that a fee of R450.00 per hour will be added to the original package price for a second shooter.

Will you tell us how to pose?

Yes, I will guide you. However, my approach is more relaxed and natural, since I aim to capture genuine moments & feelings using the beloved technique.

What happens if it rains on our special day?

We are surrounded by God’s beautiful creation, and sometimes we just have to embrace its unpredictability. In South Africa, it’s no secret that high rainfall occurs during the summer months. Luckily, I will always have a ‘plan B’ in place, which we will also discuss during your pre-wedding consultation.

Do you edit your images?

Yes. I put a lot of time, care, and effort into the editing & enhancing of your images. You will receive your photos in a variety of colour, as well as black & white.

Under no circumstances will unedited/raw photographs be given to a client.

Do you take family group shots?

Yes. I limit these to 10 groups, due to the limited time available. We can negotiate a couple more, as long as time is factored in.

You will need to provide me with a detailed list of the different group shots you require, at least one week prior to the wedding. Please allow enough time when planning your day – large group photos of all the guests can take up to 15 minutes when getting everyone together.

Do you take formal table/group shots of guests?

No. I do not take formal table shots of guests. I take plenty of spontaneous photos of your guests during the evening – their reaction to the speeches, dancing, having fun, etc.
